Debby Busick, MS, RD, IBCLC, is a dietitian and lactation consultant with 20 years of “real world” experience.  This includes being a clinical dietitian at St. Mary Mercy Hospital, a public health dietitian and lactation consultant for Washtenaw County Public Health, a community nutrition educator at the Lamaze Family Center, a diabetes and chronic disease management dietitian,  and a published researcher in the field of early feeding development.  She is a  respected educator and expert in feeding issues throughout the lifespan.  Her first child of three – was diagnosed at birth with Down Syndrome.  Her personal experience of being the mother of a child with special needs, along with the professional experience of learning from thousands of other families has only reinforced her commitment to prevention and education, which she believes are the cornerstones of healthy, happy parents raising healthy and thriving children.
